55-hour Weekend Ramp Closures on Orange Freeway (SR-57)

UPDATE-CLOSURES POSTPONED TO A DATE TO BE ANNOUNED

(Diamond Bar, CA, September 1, 2017) - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will close north- and southbound Orange Freeway (SR-57) Temple Avenue off-ramp and one lane of Sunset Crossing Road off-ramp for two 55-hour weekend closures. Work will involve replacing concrete on the ramps.

The following schedule is weather-permitting and subject to change:

  • Friday, September 8 at 10 p.m. through Monday, September 11 at 5 a.m. southbound SR-57 Temple Avenue off-ramp and one lane of Sunset Crossing Road off-ramp will close.
  • Friday, September 15 at 10 p.m. through Monday, September 18 at 5 a.m. northbound SR-57 Temple Avenue off-ramp and one lane of Sunset Crossing Road off-ramp will close.

Closures are part of a $17.5 million pavement rehabilitation project on SR-57, between Pomona Freeway (SR-60) and Foothill Freeway (I-210), the project includes upgrading guardrail, loop detectors, and curb-ramps to meet the Americans with Disabilities Act. Myers and Sons Construction is the contractor on this project, it is expected to be completed in spring 2018. Caltrans reminds motorists to “Be Work Zone Alert.”
