(DIAMOND BAR, CA, September 1, 2017) – Diamond Bar residents interested in participating in the City’s 2017 Through My Lens photo contest are reminded that the deadline for entries is fast approaching.
Monday, October 16 is the last day to submit two of your favorite Diamond Bar photographs for consideration either in person by visiting City Hall, located at 21810 Copley Drive, or electronically by emailing email@example.com.
The photographs may have been taken at any time, so long as the subject falls within one of the five categories – people, pets, places, nature or digitally altered – and they meet contest requirements.
Through My Lens was created by the City in 2008 and is cosponsored by the Diamond Bar Community Foundation (DBCF). It is open to Diamond Bar residents of all ages and photography skill levels.
A winner and an honorable mention will be selected in each of the five categories in both age divisions – youth (age 17 and younger) and adult (age 18 and older), and contestant with the highest score overall will be named the grand prize winner. In addition to commendations and certificates from the City Council and other local elected officials, the DBCF will be awarding $50 to each of the honorable mentions, $100 to each of the winners, and $150 to the grand prize winner.
Winners will be selected and notified in November. For more information, including the complete submission requirements and downloadable contest entry form, visit www.diamondbarca.gov/photocontest.
